School will be starting in a little over a month, and there are always some children who don't have all the supplies that they need for the year. The KDM Businessmen's Group used to collect school supplies every year to help that cause, but this past March that group dissolved. So we have decided to keep the ball rolling. We will be collecting school supplies starting this week and going thru the month of August. Lorrie Jansma, of Marquette, was our first donor, dropping off 24 boxes of crayons. A list of school supplies is on the box here at the library. It is also on the Markesan School District website and you'll find it in the last newsletter. If you don't want to do either of those you can always be safe buying basics like notebooks, washable markers, pencils, erasers, glue, etc. Thank you for helping to make sure that every child has all the supplies they need!
