Camera Class at the Mill Pond Library

The Library has a new display in our case for the month of April.  It is a vintage camera collection on loan to us from Kathy Sletten, who owns Hidden Creek Studio in Kingston.  The cameras date from the early 1900's all the way thru the 2000's.  Kathy will also be giving a class on Tuesday, April 9th, at the library at 6pm on how to get the best picture from your digital camera.  Kathy has also written an e-book titled "Roadside Photography" that can be purchased at Barnes & Noble or Amazon.  If you'd like to take the class, which is free, sign up the next time you are in the library.

Story Hour Reading Together!

Just a reminder to everyone that on March 14th at 4:30pm, our READING TOGETHER story hour occurs! Anyone that would like to read their favorite book is welcome to come and share! Bring a blanket, and if you want you can wear your pajama's! There will be popcorn to enjoy while each child reads his/her favorite story! We do ask that the story not be longer than 5 minutes to ensure that everyone gets a chance to read. Is your child too young to read? Well, parents are welcome to read too!! Come and enjoy the fun! The kids are very excited! See you then!

Nascar in February!

February and NASCAR at the Mill Pond Library

February in Florida means NASCAR Racing has started for another year. At the Kingston Mill Pond Library this month, thanks to part of a collection owned by Duwane Marwitz, you will find some NASCAR diecast cars and memorabilia on display.  Most of his collection is of the late Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Very Successful Cookie Walk!

Thank you to all the very generous volunteers that donated baked goods this year! We had 10 tables FULL of delicious goodies! It was amazing how quickly everything went! Also, thank you to all the volunteers that helped set up, tear down and work the cookie walk!

If it were not for all of our volunteers, well, we just wouldn't be as successful. So, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
