The Mill Pond Library Photography Club just finished its first exhibition. They raised $330.00, which was donated to the library, from prints that sold and a drawing that was held. The drawing featured a photo taken by member Kathy Sletten, and the lucky winner was Mark Dugenske of Marquette. The club is thinking of doing a barn crawl in the Fall, taking pictures of interesting looking barns. If you'd be willing to have your barn photographed send an email to Kathy at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Mill Pond Photography Club is hosting its first exhibition at the library in Kingston, featuring photographs taken by members. The exhibit began April 26 and will run through May. There are a variety of styles featured in the prints, ranging from sceneries to black and white shots of wildlife. The photographs are all for sale. All pictures measure 11 x 14 as mounted and will fit any standard 11 x 14 frame. Each print is $20.00. Any picture can be reprinted by the photographer in any size or in multiple quantities.
We would like to thank everyone that came on Thursday to show their support for the Library. Jack Meyers listened and answered questions from those gathered. We do have a petition at the library that you can sign to show your support for the Library. Thank you all again!
If you've read the paper the past few weeks you've seen the articles about the library funding issue between the Green Lake County Finance Committee and the libraries in Green Lake County. On Thursday, April 17th at 6:30pm the Kingston library will be hosting a meeting with County Board Chairman and finance comm. member Jack Meyers, addressing a group of concerned citizens about the issue. Please stop by and chat with Jack about how important the libraries are in our County and the need for support.
The Mill Pond Library in Kingston currently has a display of antique hats for viewing. The hats belong to Bernice Brekke of Dalton, and will be on display until April 23rd. Bernice and her husband Ed were members of the Badger Antique Car Club and liked to dress the part at times when driving their antique car for events. In the display there are also some old photos showing the couple dressed up, and the library has provided books on hats from that era. Stop in and see the display any day that the library is open
