Have you missed the American Girl Club over the summer break?  Or maybe you've never been to the club?  Well, this Saturday, Sept. 24th, at 9a.m. the club will start back up.  Amanda Rose is the head of the group and brings a story, an activity, and a treat for all.  The stories are about American Girls from different time periods.  The club members learn what it would have been like to live during that time and the project relates to the story.  The club meets once a month on a Saturday and the dates for the 1st three months are: Sept. 24, Oct. 22, and Nov.

    If you stop at our library during the month of September you can take a peek at the new display that has been set up.   Tom Medick, of Kingston, has lent the library some of his wonderful woodworking projects.  This display is all wooden toys.  When we asked Tom how he got starting making these wooden toys he replied "It was something to do when the fish weren't biting." 

Thanks to all who came to our 1st Annual Car Show. All those who braved the rain to bring their special cars. All those who came to eat. All those who volunteered to help. And all those who donated food or $ for food.

Our summer reading program in July was a great hit.  Children who participated were asked to read 20 minutes a day for the entire month.  All those who completed the program were eligible to come to the pool party that was held at the Berlin Aquatic Center.  All the readers enjoyed several hours of swimming, a light supper, and an ice cream cone from McDonalds before heading home. We are thankful to the National Exchange Bank and the Edna Erna Pugh Trust Fund for funding the trip!  Regular story hour will have the month of August off and start again on Thursday, Sept. 8th at 4:30pm. 

 July was a busy month for our library with the Summer Reading Program in full swing.
