9/19/17 Mum's the Word WINNER

Mums the word in September at the Kingston library.  A beautiful Mum that is.  You can enter to win one each week for 50 cents a chance.  Our first winner is Ted MacHugo of Kingston (shown in picture).  Ted said "I'll be back again to try next week!"  You can enter as often as you like.  Drawings will be held every Monday through September.

6/26/17 First SRP is a Stich!

Build A Better World, our summer reading program, is off to a great start this week. Special reader Marlene Kohn read the story "Show Way" by Jacqueline Woodson. It's a story about quilts with secret meanings that are maps to freedom. Marlene has been quilting since the 1980's and talked to the children about her hobby. The children then made their own quilts with cut out pieces of flannel and colored card stock. The snack for the day was graham cracker squares, decorated to look like quilt pieces. Couldn't make it last Thursday, stop in and pick up a reading record and join the fun.
