MILL POND LIBRARY MINUTES
March 6, 2017
The meeting was called to order by Jes Walker at 6:06 p.m. Others present were Sara Wilson, Lenny Glover, Erin Witthun, Kate Tyczinski, Kes Thompson, Jean Winther, Joy Waterbury and Kathy Jerome. Betty Kastenschmidt was absent. Motion by Kes and seconded by Erin to approve the minutes for February 6, 2017. Motion by Jean and seconded by Kes to approve the treasurer's report showing a balance of $9736.25. Both motions passed.
OLD BUSINESS
1. April Showers Fundraiser: Sara advised that the posters are ready for everyone to take and she has umbrellas available to take and decorate. An article has been in the newspaper already. The decorated umbrellas are due back by April 1.
2. Painting Class: Sara advised that Nancy Stellmacher has agreed to do the painting class for us but a date has not been set yet.
BUILDING PLANS:
1. Duct Cleaning: Sara advised that Dirty Ducts Cleaning will be coming on Friday, March 10 at 8:00 a.m. to clean the heating ducts.
2. Weeding: Sara advised that Winnefox will be sending two people on March 20th to help weed the book shelves and she asked everyone who was available to come help.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Bob Zimmerman: Sara advised that Bob Zimmerman passed away last month. He was very instrumental in helping us get the building remodeled for the new library. The reading room is named in his honor. A discussion was held about creating a memorial of pictures and story about Bob to put up for our patrons to see.
2. Story Hour: Sara advised that Lori will be gone on March 16 and asked if anyone was available to help with story hour that day. Jean and Erin will check their calendars.

There were no topics from the floor this month.
Motion by Jean and seconded by Erin to adjourn the meeting at 6:25 p.m.
Cupcakes, brownies and cider were enjoyed in honor of Sara's birthday.
