Santa Claus is Coming to the Library!

Santa Claus is coming, to the Mill Pond Library in Kingston, on Saturday, Dec. 15th. Boys and girls, bring your lists.  Santa will be there from 10am to noon to listen to what you'd like for Christmas.  And after talking to Santa, you can take home a treat bag that is donated by the Kingston Businessman's Association.

Saturday will also be the 14th annual Cookie Walk at the library.  Tables and tables full of homemade goodies.  Never been to a cookie walk?  The cookies and candies are all set out on trays.  When you come in the door you'll be handed a carry out container and a glove.  You stroll around the tables and pick your favorites, then pay by the pound at the scale.  You never know what you might find at the cookie walk!!  And if you need some reading material, our book sale will be open that day too.  Take home a paper bag full of books for just $5.00.  Santa, cookies, and books, all in one place.  What more could you ask for?

The Loosely Bound Book Club had a pot luck dinner on Nov. 29th as their last meeting of 2012.  The books were picked for 2013 and the group will take the month of December off and start up again in January.  The club meets the last Thursday of each month at 6pm at the library and anyone is welcome to join.  If you'd like to see what the book choices are for next year they are posted on our website, www.millpondlibrary.org, or stop in at the library and pick up a sheet.

Preschool story hour is going through the alphabet this year.  "He Came With the Couch" one of the favorites for the week of C.  Last week they made a house out of the letter H for the project.  The next couple of weeks will be Christmas stories and in January we will start again with the letter I.  Story hour meets on Thursday afternoons at 4:30 and all ages are welcome.

Last year the Jerome children gave their lists to Santa.  Were they good boys and girls this year? Come talk to Santa, Sat. Dec. 15th at the Mill Pond Library in Kingston from 10am to noon.
