A to Z Story Hour and More at the Library in Kingston...

School isn't the only thing that starts in September. It's also the month that story hour starts again at the Mill Pond Public Library in Kingston.  This year the theme will focus on the alphabet, with a different letter each week, and special crafts and themes for the holidays!  The programs will be held on Thursday afternoons, starting on Sept 20th, at 4:30pm at the library.  Each week there will be a story, then the children do a craft and have a light snack. All ages are welcome to attend.

There is also a new display to check out when you come to the library.  An anonymous donor has given the library a collection of Bradford Exchange Eagle & Wolf figurines. This collection has over 20 great looking eagle and wolf wall mount statue's and plaques, as well as free standing figurines from artists Ted Blaylock and Eddie LePage.

The figurines are all in nearly flawless condition, hand cast and hand painted to the highest quality and artistic standards of the Bradford Exchange.  They are limited edition pieces that come with a styrofoam box and certificate of authenticity.

These items will be on display until the end of October and for the duration of the display you will have the opportunity to place a bid on any of the pieces. A bid box will be sitting by the display. The highest bidder for each piece will be announced Nov. 3, 2012. All proceeds will benefit the Mill Pond Public Library!

Don't forget to mark your calendars for our fabulous Cookie Walk & book sale that will be held on December 15th from 9am-11am.  To keep up to date on library activities check out our website at www.millpondlibrary.org or look for the Mill Pond Public Library on Facebook.
