12/7/13 - Santa, Cookies, and Holiday Fun

If you've been waiting for the Cookie Walk, held each year at the Mill Pond Library in Kingston, then mark your calendars because it's this Saturday.    December 14th, from 9am to 11am, there will be homemade cookies and goodies galore to tempt your taste buds!!  Have you experienced a Cookie Walk yet?  If not, you're in for a treat.  The selection of homemade cookies and other goodies is huge.  Last year it took 10 large tables to hold it all.  The cookies and goodies are all set out on trays.  When you come in the library's door you are given a carry out box and a plastic glove.  Then you pick out the cookies and goodies that you like.  The box is weighed and you are charged by the pound.  Using them for holiday company?  Your family and friends will think you slaved for hours in the kitchen!!

And kids, do you have your wish list for Santa?  He will also be at the library for the Cookie Walk from 9 to 11am.  Bring your list, your camera, and your smiles.  Santa can't wait to see you & he has a little gift bag for you too!!  Also, do you like to read?  Or have someone on your Christmas list that would enjoy a book or two?  Don't miss our huge book sale.  A bag of books for only $5.00, and we have many to choose from this year.

The library is also holding a holiday raffle, with a drawing on Saturday, Dec. 21st.  You could win one of two wonderful prize packages.  The first is a HUGE teddy bear, sitting on a quilt, with his lap full of gifts. The 2nd prize is a Radio Flyer wagon that is also full of gifts.  Tickets are $2.00 each or 3/$5.00.  There's something in those gifts for everyone in the family.

Don't miss out on all the holiday fun at the Mill Pond Library in Kingston. To keep up to date of things happening at the library check out our library website at www.millpondlibrary.org or find us on Facebook.    Happy Holidays!!
