"Dream Big, Read" at the Mill Pond Library in Kingston

DJ Haight explored the "Dream House" at the Mill Pond Library in Kingston. It will be used with the Summer Reading Program, run by Mrs. M. Magine (Sarah Chastain), which starts this Thursday at 4:30pm.

Summer weather is here, and that means the Summer Reading Program will be starting at the Mill Pond Library in Kingston. This year the theme is "Dream Big, Read" and the program will be run by Mrs. M. Magine (Sarah Chastain), on Thursday afternoons at 4:30pm. Children can check out the "Dream House" when they come into library. It has clothes and hats and other props that the children can dress up in, and dream about what they might want to be when they grow up. The program runs for 4 weeks, and children are asked to read or be read to, for 20 minutes each day. The research is clear, that children who don't read during the summer can lose up to 3 months of reading progress, and that loss has a cumulative long term effect. So come in today, and sign up for the summer reading program!!
