Camera Class at the Mill Pond Library

The Library has a new display in our case for the month of April.  It is a vintage camera collection on loan to us from Kathy Sletten, who owns Hidden Creek Studio in Kingston.  The cameras date from the early 1900's all the way thru the 2000's.  Kathy will also be giving a class on Tuesday, April 9th, at the library at 6pm on how to get the best picture from your digital camera.  Kathy has also written an e-book titled "Roadside Photography" that can be purchased at Barnes & Noble or Amazon.  If you'd like to take the class, which is free, sign up the next time you are in the library.

The library could also use your help this month.  We are doing a basket fundraiser with a silent auction which will run from April 29th until May 4th.  If you'd like to make a basket and donate it for our fundraiser we would greatly appreciate it.  What could you put in to a basket?  Just about anything.  Last year we had quite a variety, one basket had all chocolate items, another basket had tools, and another had plants that the donor would bring to your house when it was time to plant.  The possibilities are endless.  Baskets can be brought to the library any time between now and April 27th.  The baskets would make a great gift for Mother's Day, or a Spring birthday coming up.

Even though we have just passed the first day of Spring, summer reading plans are being made.  Our program will start on Thursday, June 20th and run until July 18th.  All ages are welcome so mark your calendars!!
