The Mill Pond Photography Club is hosting its first exhibition at the library in Kingston, featuring photographs taken by members. The exhibit began April 26 and will run through May. There are a variety of styles featured in the prints, ranging from sceneries to black and white shots of wildlife. The photographs are all for sale. All pictures measure 11 x 14 as mounted and will fit any standard 11 x 14 frame. Each print is $20.00. Any picture can be reprinted by the photographer in any size or in multiple quantities. All sales support the Kingston Library. These beautiful and original photographs would make a great Mother's Day gift! Or maybe it's time to freshen up the art on your living room wall. You can see photos of these amazing works of art here: http://www.millpondlibrary.org/image-galleries
You can also buy a raffle ticket for a chance to win this canvas print by photographer Kathy Sletten. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.00. Drawing held on May 31, at 10am!!
The Mill Pond Photography Club currently meets at the library in Kingston on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6pm. They are a learning group, with an emphasis on helping each other improve in photography. Some months the club travels to local areas to "shoot" with the group. There are no fees or dues to join. Would you like to learn more about photography and how to get the most out of your camera? Would you like to practice new techniques and learn about tips and equipment that could improve your photography? The Mill Pond Photography Club is always looking for new members. If you would like to get on our email list for meeting notifications please contact Kathy at firstname.lastname@example.org. During the exhibit there will also be information about the club and membership available. Stop in and get a close-up peek at the prints. Support local talent AND benefit your library too!
We would like to thank everyone that came on Thursday to show their support for the Library. Jack Meyers listened and answered questions from those gathered. We do have a petition at the library that you can sign to show your support for the Library. Thank you all again!
