1. How do I get a library card? You must register with a librarian for a library card. You will need some form of identification, for example, the librarian may ask to see your driver's license or a bill with your current address before a card can be issued. Cards are issued for immediate use and may be used the same day they are issued. If you are 18 years old or younger, you will need to have a parent or legal guardian complete the registration form before a card can be issued. Please notify the library if you card is lost or stolen so that we can prevent others from using your card. 2. Can I use my Mill Pond library card at other libraries? Yes, you may use you Mill Pond library card at these Winnefox Library System member libraries: Berlin, Campbellsport, Coloma, Endeavor, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Hancock, Markesan, Menasha, Montello, Neenah, Neshkoro, North Fond du Lac, Omro, Oshkosh, Oxford, Packwaukee, Pine River, Plainfield, Poy Sippi, Princeton, Redgranite, Ripon, Wautoma, Westfield, Wild Rose, and Winneconne. 3. May I return my library materials to other libraries? Yes, you may return your library materials to any of the libraries belonging to the Winnefox Library System (see above). 4. How many items can I check out? You may have up to 50 items checked out on your library card at one
time, with the understanding that there are certain limits on the following
items: 5. How long can I keep my materials?
6. I want to place a hold on an item that is checked out or that another library in the system has. How do I do place a hold on such an item? You can place holds while at the library or while using the library's online catalog (accessible online at webcat.winnefox.org OR at any online terminal in the library.) To place a hold on an item when using the library's web catalog, click on the words Place Hold. After doing this, a login screen will appear. You will need to type in the entire number from the back of your library card under the words Library Card Number. Do not put spaces or dashes in your library card number. Next to your library card number, type in your PIN # which is the last four digits of your phone number. Then click on Login. A Place a Hold screen will appear. Please check to see that Kingston is the pickup location. If this is correct, please click on Submit Hold (Note: If you get a message saying your attempt has been unsuccessful, please check to make sure you typed in the correct numbers. If you've typed in the correct numbers, but are still getting an unsuccessful message, you may not have a PIN number, please contact the library at 920-394-3281 to set one up.) You will receive a phone call or an email (if the library has your email address) when the item arrives at the library for you. 7. Can I renew an item from my computer at home? Yes! It is easier and faster to renew your item through the online catalog. Simply go to Your Account. You will need to type in your Library Card Number and your PIN number (the last four digits of your phone number.) Click in the empty box next to the title of the item you would like to renew. A check mark should appear. Now click Renew Items. If your item is renewable, your item should be renewed (always double check.) If you still have a question contact the librarian. 8. Does the library have a copy machine? Yes, the library has a copy machine and a fax machine as well. Photocopies cost 10¢ per page, unless you are a student doing schoolwork, then the first 5 copies are free, and each page after 5 costs 10¢ per page. 9. Does the library have tax forms? Yes, the library carries certain State and Federal tax forms during the tax season. You may also find forms at the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). 10.
